The meeting was called to order at 7:45 by President Harriet
Farmer.

Old Business We
now have our own key for the kitchen cupboards and for the Library. Harriet
is working with the new manager to remedy the Problem we have been having
with the Library. Possible solutions
might be able to have it back in the cloak room or have another
cupboard built in the auditorium at our expense.

Charanduk will be bringing in books from the estate of Rita Valois to be sold At meetings. The profits
will come to our club.
Corrine Atkins-Sheldick, Lynne Patterson, Jan Sheridan and Barb Martin
spoke to a sell out crowd at a tea held by the Metcalfe Women’s Institute.

Show and Tell We were asked to bring in dolls in keeping with the topic of our guest speaker.
Judy Smithson brought in 4 large scale fabric dolls. Steve Reid brought in a flapper doll and a sword
wielding swashbuckler. Bobbie Walker brought in a bride doll made by Harriet Farmer and won at the
Potluck Supper.
Guest Speaker Joanne Metcalfe, maker of one-of-a-kind dolls. She uses polymer
clay and real hair. She brought along a Katherine Hepburn doll in the African Queen, a head of Winston
Churchill and British Field Marshall Montgomery. Her business is called “You’re a Doll’ and is located
